Chiropractic Care for Our Troops

I began my healthcare career (when I was in critical care nursing) in the VA Medical Center of Jackson, Mississippi. Very quickly I realized that we cannot give our veterans enough. We cannot repay the debt we owe them for preserving our freedom, our culture, and our very lives.

The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) has been fighting for several years to get our veterans the care they need, particularly focused on nonsurgical/nonpharmacological options for musculoskeletal care. 80% of our veterans returning from the theater of war have musculoskeletal injuries related to carrying 60 to 100 pounds of gear, including body armor, weapons, and water.  The ACA will continue to fight for them because they fought for us.

The ACA is currently fighting for your rights under Medicare. It is no less important to us.

I am privileged and honored to have been the Georgia delegate for the ACA for over a decade now. It is a great organization that is focused on providing the best evidence-based care for our patients.

Take a look at this article to see how Chiropractic care is working for troops with lower back pain but unfortunately, not all of them can access it.
